Frequently asked questions
Questions and answers about our translation services
Here are answers to the questions we hear most often: what translation costs, how long it takes, how we control quality and more. If you don't find your answer, message us on WhatsApp or Telegram and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
How much does translation cost?
Written translation starts at $0.04 per word, which is $10 per standard page of 250 words. The Pro plan, with in-depth editing and a glossary, is $0.06 per word. Online interpreting is $25 per hour.
How do I estimate the volume and price?
First find out how many words your document contains. In Microsoft Word, click the word count in the status bar at the bottom left of the screen. Multiply the number of words by the rate of the plan you choose on our home page, or use the calculator there.
What is your minimum order?
Our minimum order is one standard page of 250 words. Clients often come to us with documents shorter than a page, but even a short text takes time: besides translating, there's administration, communication, proofreading, editing and formatting.
Which language pairs do you offer?
We offer English to Russian and Russian to English translation only.
How quickly can you translate my document?
It depends on our current workload. By international standards, a professional translation of one page (250 words) takes up to an hour, so a translator's daily output is 8 standard pages (2,000 words). An editor can review up to 14 pages (3,500 words) a day. For example, 10 pages take two business days from order confirmation.
How do you ensure quality?
We use modern quality assurance software that keeps the terminology consistent and catches typos and missed segments. We also rely on up-to-date specialized dictionaries and reference sources. Every translation goes through careful analysis of the source, proofreading by the translator and a final technical or stylistic edit by a professional editor.
What subjects do you specialize in?
Our specializations include technical translation, scientific papers, legal documents, website and app localization, marketing materials and general business texts. We also provide online interpreting for meetings, negotiations and webinars.
How do I order a translation?
Send the file via WhatsApp or Telegram. We'll quote a price and deadline, and start once you confirm.
How can I pay?
By bank transfer or online by card. For companies, we provide invoices and all the paperwork your accounting team needs.
Do you keep information confidential?
Every project we receive is treated as confidential. When working with sensitive documents, we can sign a non-disclosure agreement. The work samples on our website are published with the authors' permission and contain no confidential information.
What file formats do you work with?
We work with all common formats, including DOCX, PDF, PPTX, XLSX, DWG drawings and web formats such as HTML, XML, PO and MO. If your file is in an unusual format, get in touch and we'll find a way to handle it.
Do you use machine translation?
We don't translate your texts with free machine translation services. But if you've already translated a text with ChatGPT, DeepL or another AI tool, we can check and fix it: see AI translation review.
Do you translate websites and apps?
Yes, we translate and localize websites, apps and their descriptions for Google Play and the App Store.
Do you offer editing services?
Yes, we offer editing and proofreading. If you want to check a translation done by someone else or polish a text written in Russian or English, get in touch and we'll help.
